“ADOPT don't SHOP! ”
That is the motto of our lovely celebrities who chose to adopt rather than buy their own fur babies.
Aside from reading this blog, you could also read more info about animals from our fellow blogger's latest post, Unleashing the Power of Kindness: A Love Letter to Animals and an Advocacy for Their Rights and 5 REASONS TO ADOPT, NOT SHOP. Apart from adopting animals, you could rescue them! Here are some Filipino Celebrities who chose to adopt rather than shop for their fur babies. On today's blog, we will share you two Filipino Celebrities who chose to adopt their lovely pets.
Let us start!
1. Heart Evangelista - with her lovely 'Panda'

Other than her love for collecting different kind of branded bags and clothes, Heart took the netizen's heart when she shared a series of photos of her lovely pet, Panda.
Panda is an Aspin, which is commonly known in the Philippines as a "galang aso". Panda was only four years old and was still in Nagsugbu, Batangas when Heart saw her and fell inlove at first sight. That's what pushed her into adopting Panda.
2. Carla and her fair-ry babies, Wing and Fly

The Love of My Life Actress has shared that one of her fair-ry babies, Wing has passed away due to unknown reasons. We send our Condolences to the lovely Kapuso Actress and for Wing's Sister, Fly, who also mourned the death of her loved one.
On an Instagram post, Carla has mentioned how she could save other people's dog but not her own. She shared how she comfort her other baby and how they were mourning for the lost of their Wing.
Carla Abellana and her ex-husband, Tom Rodriguez adopted both Wing and Fly on our chosen organization, PAWS, and is an active member of the said org. Wing and Fly's breed is also an Aspin.

Aspins, commonly known as Askals, are a Filipino dog breed that is famous for being the punching bags of the dog breed. The Filipinos always make fun of Aspins as they are not a breed like Chihuahuas, Golden Retrieved and Doberman.
Aspins deserves love and respect too.
We hope that people will finally accepted Aspins as a dog and not just some "asong gala."
